With the Round of 16 concluded, this weekend was jammed packed with big-time playoff clashes across the country. Teams took care of business with a few come-from-behind victories made headlines.
University of Arizona Rugby is one of the newest members of the competition after earning promotion following last season’s Division 1-AA National Runner Up finish. The program, started in 1969, is one of the fastest rising teams in the country with elevated club status on a campus that features an incredible university atmopshere. Playing all of their games in newly opened William David Sitton Stadium, the Wildcats have produced numerous Eagles and Collegiate All-Americans in both Fifteens and Sevens, while continuing to bring in some of the best Rugby talent in the world to Tucson.
