BOULDER, Colo. – USA Rugby has announced the 2014-15 Men’s Collegiate All-Americans for both 15s and sevens, and the lists include 38 players from D1A Rugby. Over a dozen D1A teams are represented between the two codes, but none more than Saint Mary’s – whose National Championship side produced seven players.

“Over the past year, these young men have demonstrated skill, passion and dedication to the sport of rugby and have excelled with their respective collegiate teams,” Collegiate All-American Head Coach Gavin Hickie had to say about this year’s selections.

“As we look ahead to Rio 2016, San Francisco 2018 and Rugby World Cup 2019, there has never been a more exciting time to be a young rugby player,” Hickie added. “We expect a number of these Collegiate All-Americans to go on to represent the Eagles.”

Nine of the 38 student athletes were recognized in both 15s and sevens, including All-American stalwarts JP Eloff (Davenport), Niku Kruger (Kutztown), Kalei Konrad (San Diego State) and Kingsley McGowan (Saint Mary’s).
