Lafayette, Co.- This weekend saw some results that caused major shifts in the rankings. The biggest news to come out of the rankings this weekend was a change in the Top 4 rankings. Cal has now traded spots with BYU. Cal was victorious over the Arizona Wildcats by a margin of 48-17; while, BYU fell to Saint Mary’s 37-17. BYU will be looking for revenge when they take on Saint Mary’s on the 10th of March.

There were also some big and significant upsets this week. They came from the unranked UCLA Bruins drawing with #13 San Diego State, after scoring in stoppage time; and from Grand Canyon continuing to upset the D1A landscape with their win over Utah. While both were upsets, it is only the later game that had any impact on the rankings. Grand Canyon continues to climb the rankings and now find themselves in the 15th spot on the ladder while Utah fell back two spots and now occupies the 18th slot. The other noticeable change in the rankings was Arizona trading places with Arkansas State. Arizona now, despite losing to Cal, occupies the 9th seed and Arkansas State finds themselves in 10th.
