BOULDER, Colo. – Six teams climbed in the Top 20 rankings this week after a Saturday of shakeups at the top.
Army went to State College and took care of a good Penn State team 22-15 on Saturday. PSU falls two spots with Army bumping Central Washington out of their #4 ranking. The #5 Wildcats will have a shot at reclaiming their #4 spot next weekend as they host #3 St. Mary’s in Ellensburg, Wa.
Arkansas State exacted revenge on Davenport, forcing the Panthers to slide down one spot and push a number of teams down in the process.
Texas A&M’s 70-19 drubbing of Oklahoma in Norman, Okla. garnered them a healthy jump in the Top 20. Last week the Aggies were #9 and now they sit at #7.
Colorado State make it into the Top 20 as they took it to Northern Colorado 39-15 on Saturday (March 30), a shot across the bow to the West Conference favorite Colorado Buffaloes who sit just ahead of the Rams in the rankings (but not in the standings, because CU hasn’t played as many games).
Next Saturday (April 6) will see things will heat up as the Big 10 semifnals kick off and the Allied Rugby Conference have their conference championship.
