BOULDER, Colo. – Missing several key players due to injury, Oklahoma needed a big performance from captain Michael Al-Jiboori against Baylor this past Saturday. Al-Jiboori responded with a hat trick and led the Sooners to a 57-12 victory in the team’s Red River opener.
“What Mike really showed on Saturday was his versatility,” Oklahoma Head Coach Jason Horowitz explained. “He understands when the big tackle has to be made, when the poach needs to be made, and most importantly he understands how to put his teammates into space. At outside center, Mike is really like a second fly half on the field for us.”
