March’s D1A Rugby Players of the Month

D1A Rugby: March’s D1A Rugby Players of the Month

LAFAYETE, Colo. – Players of the Month for March have been determined in the Mid-South, PAC and Red River conferences.

Saw Cowley is having a breakout season off the wing for Canterbury’s No. 2-ranked Life University. His recent performances on attack and defense, as well as taking over kicking duties for the team, earned the junior Player of the Month out of the Mid-South.

Utah has seen its Top 20 ranking improve over the past few weeks and All-American Hooker Chad Gough has been a big part of that. Gough becomes the first player to win Player of the Month honors twice after first accomplishing the feet in 2015 when Utah was a member of the West Conference.

Sadiq Sule takes the award in the Red River Conference with a heavy heart. Texas Tech’s powerful center moved to loose forward after the tragic passing of the team’s captain and flanker Quinn Noel. Sule not only proved a dynamic force at flanker, but his ability to carry on Noel’s feverish passion for the game helped the Red Raiders finish the season strong despite the ongoing mourning in Lubbock, Texas their fallen teammate.

March’s Player of the Month features:

Mid-South Conference: Sam Cowley – Life

PAC Rugby Conference: Chad Gough – Utah

Red River Conference: Sadiq Sule – Texas Tech
