BOULDER, Colo. – Going into the last week of the D1A season, the #1 and #2 teams, fittingly, are set to play in the National Championship game on May 18 in Greensboro, N.C.
Life took the semifinal against former #1 Arkansas State on May 4, getting the better of the Red Wolves and winning two of the three games the two powerhouses played this season. Their semifinal and quarterfinal performances put them at #1 in the national rankings.
St. Mary’s and Cal Poly were neck and neck for the first half of their semifinal, but the Gaels put their foot down in the second half. The Mustangs didn’t roll over though and kept fighting to the end, resulting in a significant bump in the Top 20.
Kutztown’s performance against Arkansas State landed them at #5.
Colorado and Colorado State jumped after commendable performances against stronger California teams in the quarterfinals.
The last rankings of the year will be posted after the National Championship on May 18.
