KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown Golden Bears put their stamp on their East season, tallying a 59-5 win over Delaware on Saturday, marking the opening of the East Conference regular season.

Penn State was in non-conference action this weekend as well as they hosted a surging Life squad, but lost 15-45 after an excellent first half.  The Nittany Lions have sought out extremely tough competition playing Cal, St. Mary’s and Life in friendlies, so they may be the most battle-tested team in the East.

Army has played top men’s club competition in preparation for their regular season, just narrowly losing 31-34 to a stacked New York Athletic Club team this weekend and beating Boston RFC prior to that.

Conference play really heats up next weekend as Army travels to Kutztown and Penn State hosts Delaware.  Both Army and Penn State have had robust preseason schedules and will look to come out swinging in conference play.
