AUSTIN, Texas — It was everything you could ask for from a Red River Rivalry game. OU jumped out to an early lead over Texas, but the home team stormed back and took a one point lead with less than a minute left in regulation to record an historic win for the Longhorns.
Texas pulled out a 39-38 win over the heavily favored Sooners, but other score lines from the conference were lopsided.
Texas Tech blanked Baylor in Lubbock 70-0 and Texas A&M scored 107 to Sam Houston State’s 7 in College Station.
Texas Tech’s Abdul Sule and scrumhalf Robert Poyser are proving a lethal combination. Sule scored three tries this weekend, adding to his five from last weekend. Poyser also had a hat trick against Baylor.
