FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State Rams have won their first-ever West Conference title and are headed to the D1A Quarterfinals. CSU beat bitter rivals Colorado in a 20-17 thriller in Fort Collins, securing the title and a postseason bid.
A close win over a sworn enemy is always a confidence booster and CSU will need all the confidence they can muster as the California #2 seed, Cal Poly, blow into Fort Collins on April 27 for the D1A Quarterfinals.
Poly will be the firmest test the Rams have had all season, but it seems they are peaking at the right time.
Colorado, meanwhile, have to play-in against Wisconsin (Big Ten #1) on April 20 to enter the D1A Quarterfinals the following weekend.
