BOULDER, Colo. – It’s been a difficult season, to say the least, for Buffalo. After a winless Rugby East season in 2014, the Bulls are off to an 0-4 start this fall. Unfortunately for Buffalo, the team wasn’t able to produce any points in its first three matches. Last week against Penn State, Maninderjit Singh went over the line twice, making him D1A Player of the Week.
“Last weekend was very disappointing to us all, and a low point in the season,” recalled Buffalo Head Coach Mike Hodgins. “But despite that, Singh continued to work hard, be optimistic and lead by example. He had several plays in the Penn State game where he put them under pressure and forced errors.”
A lacrosse player-turned-flanker, Singh has found a home on the rugby pitch with his relentless motor and his tackling prowess. Now, the junior Electrical Engineering student will turn his sights towards West Virginia, Buffalo’s Oct. 17 opponent.
