In week 6 of Spring play there were several marquee matchups that would have an implication on the rankings, but while there were no upsets within the fixtures, there was definitely some movement within the rankings.

The biggest game that had an impact on the rankings came this week from Arizona and Utah. Arizona was ranked 11th going into the weekend, Utah 12th. Arizona on the back of scintillating play from their backline romped their way to a 70-19 victory. This result when tied with no upsets above them, raised Arizona one spot to 10th, while Utah had a significant fall from grace and now find themselves sitting in the 16th spot in the rankings.

Another game that had a significant outcome on the rankings was #20 UC Davis taking on #14 San Diego State. UC Davis was riding a hot  streak having experienced an undefeated start to their season, SDSU was experiencing the polar opposite. This game in all likelihood would determine the 2nd placed team in the California Conference. UC Davis ran out to a 13-7 lead in the second half, but 22 unanswered points from the Aztecs, helped to secure their first win of the season. As a result of the win UC Davis moved up to #19, and San Diego State moved up to #13.
