Kutztown and ASU were neck and neck in the first half, but the Red Wolves capitalized on mistakes in the second to gain a quasi-comfortable lead.
Zac Mizell opened the Red Wolves account after his forwards pinched a lineout. The All-American center threw a fend to start a break and Zinzan Elan-Puttick finished off the move for the first score. Pat Sullivan converted, but ASU was only up 7-5 at the half.
Sullivan extended the lead with a penalty to start the second and Elan-Puttick scored his second try of the game to extend ASU’s lead to 17-5.
Kutztown kept fighting and ended up scoring once more, but ASU had scored twice more by then and the game was just out of reach
